The Career Coach will manage a caseload of participants, providing work readiness counseling and mentoring. This role involves assessing participant competencies, work history, education, skills, and barriers to employment. The coach will conduct ongoing individual meetings focused on job search, job retention, and job readiness, and develop individualized employment plans for short- and long-term goals. Responsibilities also include maintaining information on area resources and employers, tracking participant accountability, attendance, and employment retention, and notifying government agencies of changes in participant work hours. The coach will maintain periodic contact to assess job retention and advancement issues, provide training and employment advancement information, monitor participant progress toward self-sufficiency, and maintain accurate electronic and paper case files. Case management will be focused on self-sufficiency, and the coach will facilitate access to education, training, and employment services.
