The Career Coach is responsible for providing high quality career counseling to immigrants and refugees to connect them to jobs, training, and/or education leading to skills upgrades and career advancement. This role supports clients in identifying a career path, creating a plan to achieve career goals, and taking necessary steps for career advancement. The Career Coach will also develop strong job leads and foster collaborative partnerships with internal programs and community organizations to support clients' employment, education, and training placement and goal attainment. The position requires strong knowledge of issues related to individuals with employment barriers and experience working with diverse backgrounds. Program participants include immigrants and refugees seeking career advancement through higher quality employment, ESOL instruction, education, and/or training.
