Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and six (6) years of training or demonstrated experience in providing workforce development/case management services for at-risk populations, required.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and goal setting, required.
  • Certified Workforce Development Professional Certificate preferred or must secure it within 1 year of employment, required.
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
  • Driving for work required with a personally owned vehicle.
  • Travel between sites required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Communications, or a related field and three (3) years of training or demonstrated experience in providing workforce development/case management services for at-risk populations, preferred.
  • Certified Workforce Development Professional Certificate preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform situational assessments and vocational exploration activities.
  • Assess and addresses barriers to employment.
  • Provide supportive services where appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individual employment plans.
  • Coordinate and communicate with referral sources, community-based organizations, and other workforce providers.
  • Monitor employment retention, secure employment verifications, and enter proof of employment into required database.
  • Works within program, grant and agency requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Utilizes a team approach and works with other workforce staff to plan, implement and reach programs deliverables and goals.
  • Travel to job seekers homes, worksites, community meetings, etc.
  • Maintain job seekers physical and electronic files in funder required database.
  • Facilitates Job Readiness Training and other group activities.
  • Assists Job Seekers with creating and editing resumes and cover letters.
  • Contact job seekers on a weekly basis after enrollments and gradually decreasing contact after employment placement.
  • Conducts mock interviews.
  • Assist in establishing employment goals.
