About The Position

As a Career Coach with case management responsibilities, you’ll provide individualized employment support, career counseling, and job coaching to help individuals with disabilities explore opportunities, obtain employment, and succeed in the workplace. This role involves championing career goals by helping individuals identify their strengths, interests, skills, and employment goals. You will provide career counseling and guidance to help individuals explore career options and make informed decisions about their employment future. You will support job seekers with job searches, applications, resume development, interview preparation, and workplace soft skills. You will assess employment strengths by completing assessments and identifying opportunities that align with each individual’s abilities, interests, and goals. You will coach for workplace success by providing individualized, onsite job coaching and task analysis to help individuals learn job responsibilities and maintain employment. You will build employer partnerships by developing relationships with local businesses through outreach, networking, hiring events, and in-person meetings. You will promote inclusive employment by educating employers about the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and helping identify opportunities for successful employment. You will stay connected to the local job market by understanding current hiring trends, employer needs, and employment opportunities in the community. You will support workplace accommodations by identifying accommodations and adaptive equipment that can help individuals succeed on the job. Ultimately, you will make a lasting impact by helping individuals build confidence, achieve their employment goals, and experience greater independence and inclusion in their communities.

Requirements

  • 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • People-focused communicator who can coach, motivate, and build strong relationships
  • Problem-solver & self-starter who works well independently and adapts quickly
  • Strongly organized with the ability to manage documentation, deadlines, and multiple priorities
  • Comfortable with technology including Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Positive, professional, and dependable with a passion for helping others succeed
  • Strong coaching and training skills with the ability to support individuals with different learning styles and needs
  • Community-minded relationship builder who enjoys connecting with employers and community partners
  • Must submit to BCII/FBI background checks and Nurse Aide & Abuser Registry checks.
  • Must maintain American Red Cross or equivalent First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid State of Ohio driver's license and ability to meet ARC Voyagers' insurability standards.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must complete required DODD training upon hire.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential or obtain the credential within 12 months of hire, as assigned.
  • Must obtain Working Incentive Planning certification within the first six months of employment, as assigned.
  • Physical exam may be required based on job assignment.
