Wentworth Institute of Technology seeks a student-centered Career Specialist to support learners enrolled in the Massachusetts Board-approved Journeyman Electrical (JE) Program and the forthcoming Climate Critical Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program (CCEPA). This role will provide individualized career advising, workforce readiness support, employer engagement, and placement coordination to help students successfully transition into apprenticeship programs, employment, and continued education pathways aligned with apprenticeship to journeyman-level electrician roles and Massachusetts climate and clean energy related workforce needs. The Career and Workforce Pathways Specialist will play a key role in advancing equitable access to high-quality careers in the electrical and high-performance building sectors by supporting individuals who may face barriers to workforce entry, including early-career learners, career changers, and students from low-income or underserved communities. The position aligns directly with Wentworth’s workforce development mission and MassCEC Equity Workforce Grant objectives.
