About The Position

Provide technical assistance and support to school districts and the regional CTE team in the administration and implementation of Perkins V grant programs. Assist districts in meeting federal and state requirements and effectively utilize grant funds to strengthen high-quality CTE programs that advance College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) and workforce preparation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree
  • Texas Teacher Certification
  • Minimum 5 years teaching and/or supervisory experience in the field of Career and Technical Education
  • Working knowledge and experience with compliance, and state and federal program and fiscal guidelines under the Carl Perkins grant
  • Experience in planning, developing, and presenting professional development to adults
  • Training and experience in curriculum and program development for CTE programs
  • High degree of professionalism including strong organizational, communication, and public relations skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and work in collaboration with public schools, ESC and state personnel
  • Ability to prepare and provide professional development to educators of all levels
  • Knowledge of state and federal guidelines for CTE programs and funding
  • Ability to effectively work with diverse personalities
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to utilize current technology platforms and software

Responsibilities

  • Respond to clients' needs in a courteous and timely manner with current, accurate information.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships between the ESC and LEAs
  • Maintain all internal and external required program paperwork and program documentation and submit by requested deadlines.
  • Work with internal CCMR teams to impact Perkins programs leading to increased student achievement
  • Collaborate with the ESC CTE team members, other ESC program staff, TEA, and fellow ESCs to carry out program activities, professional development, and technical assistance related to Perkins funded initiatives
  • Support LEA staff at all levels in developing and implementing programs of study aligned with career clusters and pathways that promote college and career readiness, including guidance on associated program coding
  • Other duties as may be assigned
