About The Position

The Career and Education Lead oversees WIOA program implementation, ensuring compliance, staff development, and effective service delivery to help jobseekers secure sustainable employment. The role provides leadership and direction to team members and customer service to internal and external participants. The Career and Education Lead reports directly to the Program Team Manager and communicates performance, successes, and challenges during weekly check-ins.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 3–5 years of relevant leadership experience.
• Skills and experience providing career and workforce development assistance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Notable experience in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned team and program resources are used appropriately.
• Establish professional working relationships with partners and community organizations.
• Maintain accurate participant tracking information.
• Attend required meetings and inform the team about discussions held at those meetings.
• Address human resource and team concerns.
• Provide a positive vision for changes required during program operations.
• Use positive communication techniques to resolve issues.
• Communicate with team members to incorporate appropriate concepts and suggestions.
• Analyze and understand labor market information.
• Report performance, successes, and challenges to the Program Team Manager during weekly check-ins.
• Manage relationships with community partners and service providers.
• Ensure team members comply with contract goals and WIOA regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct team member performance reviews and appraisals, and provide feedback and guidance.
• Monitor team performance and report outcomes.
• Undertake other opportunities as available.
