About The Position
Calyx Living is hiring Care Staff for its assisted living community, Calyx Living of Apex. The role provides direction and assistance to residents with personal care needs, including medication self-administration monitoring, hygiene, vital signs, safety, incident reporting, meal services, and observation for changes in residents’ conditions. This is a second-shift role, and weekend availability is required.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older and demonstrate maturity.
- Compassion and a desire to work with seniors.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
- Ability to adapt to each resident and setting.
- Reliable, responsive, and attentive.
- Must be available to work weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiver experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs.
- Monitor residents’ self-administration of medication.
- Ensure resident hygiene.
- Obtain and record residents’ vital signs.
- Maintain resident safety.
- Complete incident reports.
- Assist with meal services.
- Observe residents for changes in condition.
