About The Position

As a Care Partner, you will support elders with personal care and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. You will monitor and document changes in elders’ health or behavior and report them to the Wellness Team. The role also includes providing companionship and emotional support, assisting with meals, participating in social and recreational activities, communicating with elders, families, team members, and guests, and helping maintain general cleanliness through light housekeeping.

The position is a full-time night shift role from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with work every other weekend and on holidays. The stated pay range is $16.00 to $17.50, based on experience.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly using walkers and wheelchairs.
• Observe and document changes in elders’ health or behavior and report them to the Wellness Team.
• Provide emotional support, companionship, conversation, and active listening.
• Assist elders with meals and feed those who need additional support.
• Support elders in social and recreational activities that contribute to their well-being.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, including tidying and maintaining general cleanliness.
