About The Position

The Care Partner provides nursing staff support in the areas of patient care delivery, clerical functions, and organization of the unit environment, as well as set-up and maintenance of equipment. The emphasis on each of these areas will depend on the unit assigned. Requirements

  • Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certification (California Department of Public Health) OR Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with equivalent training and the completion of the “Fundamentals of Nursing” course with a B or better OR Completion of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program from a foreign country or United States OR Medical training in military services
  • Six months to one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Ability to pass a 4 hour USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Electronic Health Record data entry training course.
  • Maintain active California Certified Nurse Assistant certification (California Department of Public Health) OR Verified as enrolled in (or completed) a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program, have received medical training in military services, or have received the above license(s) from a foreign country or United States
  • Must Maintain actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
  • Individuals who graduate or drop out of an accredited nursing program will be suspended from work and will be given 30 calendar days to re-enroll or obtain a California Certified Nurse Assistant Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an acute care setting (based on unit definition).
  • Maintain actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations, preferred.
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are competing requirements and a heavy workload.

Benefits

  • The hourly rate range for this position is $23.00 - $30.87.
