About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures. The 7th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital is a medical surgical unit where we primarily treat septic patients. Our department has 36 beds, and we see a range of surgical patients, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis and treat many chronic conditions such as COPD and CHF. We have a great culture focused on teamwork and positivity. Our nurse communication scores have been some of the highest in this Magnet® designated hospital. We are an innovative unit, often where hospital-wide projects being. We are looking for dynamic, hard-working people, who are looking for a strong medical surgical floor. We look for those who have a vested interest in our department’s mission. Candidates must have a positive attitude, open communication skills, be hard-working, dedicated, and accountable.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- High School diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
- State registered CNA license required
- Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Nice To Haves
- Six months previous CNA experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred.
