Bayview Hunters Point Foundation (BVHPF) has been a cornerstone of social justice for over 50 years, dedicated to supporting predominantly low-income people of color in the Bayview and across San Francisco. Our mission is to foster an empowered, clean, safe, and healthy community by addressing the root causes of unemployment and homelessness through multidisciplinary, community-informed support and advocating for essential human rights like food, health, economic, and housing security. With nearly 200 employees, BVHPF serves over 5,000 disadvantaged clients annually through a range of programs including mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, transitional and supportive housing, rapid rehousing, case management, and the Bayview Navigation Center. These vital services are sustained by nearly 20 contracts with the City & County of San Francisco and are overseen by various authorities, including CCSF, state, and federal government.
