About The Position

This position focuses on making sure our clients are living in a safe environment, attending meetings, when possible, giving advice and lending an empathetic/sympathetic ear to them. Our clients are always our #1 priority, keeping them safe, even if that means from themselves. This position works from 8pm-8am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

  • Must submit a driving abstract upon acceptance of employment.
  • Must alert facility staff of any traffic violations accrued during employment within five business days of occurrence.
  • Must never search a room alone.
  • Must remain professional at all times.
  • Must have a photo ID and proof of automobile insurance when picking up a client.
  • Must have a Release of Information on file for said client, if not, one must be filled out at the time of pickup.
  • Must stay calm during client interactions.
  • Must verify the medication, the frequency of the medication, and verify the pill count is correct before and after medication is dispensed.
  • Must never allow clients to use personal cellular phones.

Responsibilities

  • Client counts hourly, all clients must be accounted for even if they are not in the facility.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while at work and out with a client.
  • Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to receive shift report.
  • Complete a Shift Log for each shift worked.
  • Drive company vehicles and transport clients.
  • Submit a driving abstract upon acceptance of employment.
  • Alert facility staff of any traffic violations accrued during employment within five business days of occurrence.
  • Search rooms on a weekly basis, never alone. If 2 staff members are available, the whole room may be searched. If only one staff member is available to search, bring clients in one at a time and have them present while searching only that client’s possessions.
  • Perform random urine screenings of clients, entering the restroom with client and staying present during the collection process.
  • Remain diligent with the rules of the facility.
  • Meet face to face with the responsible party picking up the client for passes, verify pass information matches the person picking up the client.
  • Make a copy of the responsible party's photo ID and proof of automobile insurance for the client's file.
  • Ensure the responsible party has a Release of Information on file for the client, or have one filled out.
  • Verify with client what time they are to return from pass, and contact supervisor if they do not return on time.
  • Ensure clients are accounted for hourly throughout the night, going into each room and verifying clients are present (3rd Shift).
  • Responsible for doing facility laundry, towels and washcloths (3rd Shift).
  • Assist in self-administration of medications for clients, ensuring only one client is present at a time.
  • Verify medication logs, verify medication, frequency, and pill count before and after medication is dispensed.
  • Never allow clients to use personal cellular phones.
