Care Giver for Assisted Living Community - PT 1st Shift
About The Position
TerraBella Senior Living is hiring a part-time Care Giver for its Indian Trail assisted living community. The Care Giver provides hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, home-like environment. The role is scheduled for the first shift and every other weekend. The position involves supporting residents’ independence, dignity, and physical safety; assisting with activities of daily living; keeping resident rooms and work areas clean; and engaging residents in life skills and life enrichment activities. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and co-workers.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms and work areas.
- Help residents maintain independence while promoting their dignity and physical safety.
- Participate in and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating, as instructed.
- Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
- Provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe, comfortable, home-like environment.
