About The Position

TerraBella Senior Living is hiring a part-time Care Giver for its Indian Trail assisted living community. The role provides residents with hands-on care and physical and emotional support while maintaining a safe, comfortable, home-like environment. The position is scheduled for the second shift every other weekend.

The Care Giver helps residents with activities of daily living, supports their independence, dignity, and safety, maintains resident rooms and work areas, and engages residents in life skills and enrichment activities. A high school diploma or GED is required. Certified Nurse’s Aid certification and previous experience working with seniors are preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 and able to communicate effectively, provide superior customer service, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms and work areas.
• Help residents maintain independence while promoting their dignity and physical safety.
• Participate in and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating, as instructed.
• Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
• Provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.
