About The Position

The Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with activities of daily living, supporting residents in leading a quality life while maintaining their dignity. The role includes companionship, personal care, restorative support, activity participation, mealtime service, laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood. The Care Associate also responds to resident, family, and employee concerns and maintains a positive, professional demeanor.

Requirements

• Communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to and communicate about emergency situations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities, is preferred.
• A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Assist, encourage, and provide restorative interventions to Memory Care residents to support independence with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime.
• Assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure resident, family, and employee concerns receive timely responses and follow-up to support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
