Care Assistant (Daytime From 7Am & Weekends)
About The Position
Care Assistants provide personal care and support to customers in their own homes, working alongside other staff to meet individual needs while respecting each person’s dignity and promoting independence. The support is intended to be similar to what a family member could reasonably provide and does not include tasks normally performed by a trained nurse. The role is based in community care, not in a care home, with work available in Dartford, Gravesham and Medway. The schedule starts at 7 a.m. Monday to Friday and includes every other weekend. The employer provides full training, and previous care experience is not required. This is a zero-hours role, with guaranteed hours available on request.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own car.
- Live in or around the Dartford, Gravesham or Medway area.
- A desire to care for others.
- Availability for shifts starting at 7 a.m. Monday to Friday and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals.
- Provide companionship and social visits.
- Provide personal care.
- Administer medication.
- Keep accurate records of the support provided and communicate clearly with team members.
- Deliver a safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led service.
