About The Position

The cardiovascular technologist acts as a clinical / technical support team member. They are competent in cardiac invasive procedural skill sets such as surgical scrub, hemodynamic monitoring and clinical data computation and acquisition. The cardiovascular technologist provides on call coverage as assigned and as rotations require. They are competent in cardiac imaging PACS acquisition and data management. The CVT is required to functionally perform duties in Cath Lab, EP lab and Interventional Vascular Lab as needed on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • 2 year / Associate Degree in Accredited Cardiovascular Program or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) OR 2 year / Associate Degree in Radiology Technology Program with ARRT
  • 1+ years Cardiovascular Technology or Cardiac Electrophysiology experience preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) obtained within one year of hire, or Radiology Tech (ARRT)
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) obtained within one year of hire

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
  • For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
