About The Position

The Cardiovascular Technician Registered supports the mission, vision, and values of McLaren Port Huron. The role performs a wide range of special procedures examinations and cardiac catheterizations and assists with the clinical operation of the department. The technician provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while demonstrating behaviors that support the hospital’s values.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology Technology or graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program.
• ARRT registration.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a vascular and cardiac catheterization lab or in special procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support McLaren Port Huron’s mission and vision through behaviors that reflect and integrate its values, as evidenced by observation and peer and customer feedback.
• Perform special procedures, vascular procedures, and cardiovascular procedures, and implement activities to establish and maintain quality diagnostic studies.
• Coordinate special procedure examinations to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of the department and assist with implementation of patients’ plans of care.
• Participate in at least 50% of unit staff meetings and read and initial the minutes of meetings not attended.
• Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competence.
• Contribute to effective department operations through dependable job performance.
• Perform other related job duties as requested.
