About The Position
A large, integrated healthcare system is seeking a certified Cardiovascular Technologist to join a high-volume cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology team. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a well-resourced, high-acuity program that values clinical excellence and team collaboration. The candidate must hold a current RCIS or RCES credential and have hands-on cardiovascular procedure experience. The position is based onsite in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and is full-time. Pay is $108,222–$134,763 per year, equivalent to $52.03–$64.79 per hour. Participation in an on-call rotation is required as needed by department staffing needs.
Requirements
- Current RCIS or RCES certification.
- At least 2 years of cardiovascular laboratory experience in a hospital or high-volume procedural setting.
- Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy, and catheterization laboratory equipment.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for invasive cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic catheterization, PCI, and electrophysiology studies.
- Set up and operate cardiovascular equipment, including hemodynamic monitors, contrast injectors, and fluoroscopy systems.
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedural trays and equipment for each case.
- Monitor and document hemodynamic data during procedures and communicate changes to the clinical team.
- Assist physicians during complex interventional and electrophysiology cases as directed.
- Maintain accurate procedure logs, patient records, and inventory documentation.
- Clean, maintain, and inspect equipment in compliance with safety and infection-control protocols.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required by department staffing needs.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced cardiovascular technologists and students.
- Stay current with cardiovascular technology, protocols, and best practices through continuing education.
