About The Position

The Cardiovascular Tech I assists with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of a registered technologist or physician. This entry-level role supports patient preparation, equipment setup, and procedural assistance in a cardiac catheterization lab or vascular lab environment. The Tech I helps ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
• Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• No experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a cardiovascular or radiologic technology program preferred.
• Registry-eligible through ARRT, RCIS, or CCI preferred.
• Clinical training or externship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and equipment setup.
• Operate basic equipment under supervision during cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintain the sterile field and assist with contrast injections and device delivery.
• Prepare and maintain procedural rooms and supplies.
• Document procedures, vital signs, and patient responses under supervision.
• Transport patients and assist with post-procedure care.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
