About The Position

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support physicians and colleagues during cardiac and vascular procedures. The technologist uses advanced cath lab technology to help provide safe, high-quality care, guides and reassures patients and families throughout their care journey, and supports precise treatment. This position is PRN. Medical City Las Colinas is a 99-bed, full-service acute-care facility with more than 500 colleagues and 400 physician partners. Its services include Level III trauma, cardiovascular services, orthopedics, spine surgery, robotic surgery, emergency services, and women's services. The facility describes its environment as patient-centric and healing, with state-of-the-art technology and amenities including made-to-order room service.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Two years of experience required.
One of the following credentials: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer (RT), or ARRT-R Radiography.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
Prepare and support patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
Operate and maintain advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion.
Maintain a sterile and safe environment while advocating for patients.
