About The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established team of 12 APPs. The schedule is (4) 10-hour shifts/week. Call structure: Daily, Weekend and Holiday On-Call assignments are split evenly among a team of 12 surgical PA’s. Practice setting: inpatient supporting Carmel and Indianapolis. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system. The candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider and eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration. The role involves executing precise endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting to provide high-quality conduits, directly impacting the long-term success of revascularization procedures. A CME allowance + dedicated CME days and malpractice coverage with tail are provided.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Endoscopic Vein & Radial Artery harvest using the Maquet Vasoview Hemopro I and/or Hemopro II systems.

Responsibilities

  • Execute precise endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting to provide high-quality conduits, directly impacting the long-term success of revascularization procedures.
  • Surgical First assistant: cases include CABG, aortic and mitral valve repair/replacement, ECMO Insertion, VAD insertion & heart transplant cases.
