We are seeking an exceptional Physician Assistant to join our highly specialized team of spine surgeons and eleven elite PAs. This is a highly specialized PA role designed for clinicians who enjoy complex pathology, close collaboration with surgeons, and continuous learning. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active Virginia PA license (or eligibility)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional maturity

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for spine patients in the office
  • Interpretation of advanced imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, labs)
  • High-level patient education using imaging, models, and individualized counseling
  • First-assist responsibilities in complex spinal procedures, including discectomy, disc replacement, spinal fusion, instrumentation, detailed anatomic dissection, and wound closure
  • Participation in technologically advanced spine surgery incorporating robotics, augmented reality, and AI-driven planning and execution
  • Direct patient communication, including daily follow-up and care coordination
  • Medication management with thoughtful, evidence-based prescribing
  • Preventative care and education related to musculoskeletal health and osteoporosis
  • Active collaboration within a multidisciplinary, high-performing team (spine surgery, regenerative medicine, physiatry, neurology, and anesthesia pain management)
