Great team environment Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is a separately licensed hospital located on the campus of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. We are a 47-bed facility including a 20 bed Cardiovascular ICU and a 27 bed cardiac telemetry unit. Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is accredited for Chest Pain through The Joint Commission. We have achieved AHA’s Gold Plus award for three years in a row, AHA’s Gold Plus award for Heart Failure and Beacon Award Silver level through AACN. We specialize in CABG and Valve surgeries, thoracotomies, general cardiac including heart failure, cardiomyopathies, AMI, TAVR, post heart catheterization including angioplasty, stenting and electrophysiology studies. Requirements

Associate's Degree Applied Science Req Or
Other completion of accredited program in cardiovascular technology Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire Req Or
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 2 Years work experience in invasive cardiology Req
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
2 Years required with high school diploma Req
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Req And
RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program Upon Hire Req And
RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) Only Upon Hire Req And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

Nice To Haves

1 Year vascular or cardiac angiography Pref or
GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire Pref Or
LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist If RCIS Only Upon Hire Pref Or
Cath Lab experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies)
Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction
Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards
