About The Position
A clinically competent professional who works collaboratively with RNs and physicians in the cardiology and radiology angiography suites to provide radiologic assistance for procedures. This role involves scrubbing and assisting physicians during diagnostic/interventional angiographic procedures, operating angiographic equipment to obtain and optimize diagnostic imaging, and responsible for sterile table set-up for specific angiographic/implant procedures. The individual must be competent to scrub procedures in 1 to 2 of the following specialties: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, or Interventional Neuro-Radiology. Competency is determined by the successful completion of department orientation and contingent on team leader and management approval.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois RT license, ARRT and IEMA certifications required.
- CPR required.
- ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- Previous radiology experience required.
- Must be able to take 8-10 days of call for emergent procedures per month.
- Must be able to arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes of being notified.
Nice To Haves
- Previously Interventional Cardiology, Radiology, or Neuro-Radiology strongly preferred.
