About The Position

Apex Vascular, part of US Heart and Vascular, is seeking a PRN dual sonographer to support vascular and cardiac diagnostic services in Lenoir City, Tennessee. The role combines vascular ultrasound studies and cardiac echocardiography in a dedicated ultrasound suite, working with a collaborative, physician-led team.

The position is PRN, with shifts scheduled according to clinic coverage needs. Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. No weekends are required.

Requirements

• ARDMS or CCI certification required or eligibility in vascular and/or echocardiography.
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent patient communication skills.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and flexible.
• PRN candidates should be comfortable working independently.

Nice To Haves

• Dual credentials as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a cardiac credential holder (RDCS or RCS).
• Approximately one year of vascular and/or echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform upper- and lower-extremity venous studies.
• Perform upper- and lower-extremity arterial studies.
• Perform carotid ultrasounds.
• Perform abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) studies.
• Perform AV fistula studies.
• Conduct post-venous ablation follow-up ultrasounds.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms using 2D, M-mode, color, spectral, and tissue Doppler.
• Perform stress echocardiograms and other cardiac studies as applicable.
• Obtain high-quality images according to established protocols.
• Work with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and excellent outcomes.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care.
• Maintain equipment and comply with safety and quality standards.
