About The Position

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician works with the OR Heart Team in Aurora, Colorado, supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures across multiple locations. The cardiovascular staff includes 15 members. Day-shift teams consist of two RNs and one CST Tech; night-shift teams consist of one RN and one CST Tech. The stated patient ratio is 1:1.

The role supports procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) procedures, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and valve replacements. The ideal candidate is flexible, confident, and collaborative, with a strong focus on patient experience and effective communication with staff and providers. The team uses GE and Stryker equipment and Meditech / CPN EMR. The position requires floating within 25 miles of the facility when needed. Call requirements vary with staffing and need and will be discussed during the interview. No weekend shifts are required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of current acute-care hospital experience as a CVOR Tech.
• Current BLS, DORA, and NBSTA certifications.
• Proficiency in open-heart procedures.
• Flexibility, confidence, teamwork, and a strong emphasis on patient experience and effective communication.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with Meditech.
• Experience traveling as a CVOR Tech in large trauma facilities.
• Cardiovascular experience.

Responsibilities
