Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA
About The Position
This is a locum tenens position providing coverage for a Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery service line. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient patient management, including performing vein harvesting using the Maquet Vasoview system. The position requires participation in beeper call coverage and collaboration with the surgical team and support staff. The average daily patient volume is 2-10, with admissions and rounding required. Phone consults are low. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in practice, supported by 1 RN and 1 MA.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in KS or compact license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Vein harvesting experience (Maquet Vasoview system) required
Responsibilities
- Provide locum tenens coverage for Cardiothoracic Surgery service line.
- Perform vein harvesting using the Maquet Vasoview system.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgical patients.
- Participate in beeper call coverage as scheduled.
- Collaborate with surgical team and support staff.
