About The Position

Requirements
- Board Certified in relevant specialty
- Active KY license or willingness to obtain
- Active DEA Certification
- ACLS, BLS certifications
- Proficiency in Cardiothoracic surgery procedures
- Clean malpractice history
- Epic EMR proficiency
Responsibilities
- First assist in Cardiothoracic surgeries including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection.
- Perform OR duties such as vein harvest, chest tube placement, and surgical assisting.
- Manage telemetry and ICU patients, providing post-operative care and monitoring.
- Take call duties 1-2 days per week and one weekend per month (Friday 7am to Monday 7am).
- Conduct inpatient rounds on weekends, covering procedures and surgery duties.
