About The Position

Join a progressive cardiovascular anesthesia practice in North Texas that prioritizes work-life balance without compromising compensation. This Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist position offers an exceptional $775,000 annual salary with a unique 2 weeks on, 1 week off rotation schedule, providing you with 17 weeks of time off each year. Located just one hour north of Dallas, this opportunity allows you to practice high-quality cardiac anesthesia while enjoying small-town living with big-city access. As a Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist with our facility, you'll work alongside a supportive team of CRNAs delivering anesthesia services for a balanced caseload of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for both fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologists and general anesthesiologists with strong CV experience to advance their careers in a collegial, physician-friendly environment.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Eligible for Texas medical license or currently licensed in Texas
  • Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care delivery

Nice To Haves

  • Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Certification (preferred but not required)
  • Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship training (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with adult cardiac surgical cases
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
  • Perform perioperative management for cardiac surgery patients
  • Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, CRNAs, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Deliver anesthesia services for select general surgery and orthopedic cases as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
  • Provide medical direction and supervision to certified registered nurse anesthetists
  • Maintain limited call-back responsibilities with manageable work-life integration
