Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience
- Active or eligible state medical license for North Dakota
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology by ABA
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques, nerve blocks, and advanced airway management
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, detail-oriented approach to patient care
- Experience with Meditech EHR system preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for surgical procedures including orthopedic, OB/GYN, and ophthalmology cases
- Conduct thorough preoperative patient assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
- Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation using current best practices
- Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and adjust anesthesia as needed
- Deliver post-anesthesia care and patient monitoring in recovery
- Perform advanced procedures including nerve blocks, lumbar punctures, and emergency intubations
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in call rotation schedule (1:5 ratio)
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EHR system
- Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
