About The Position

Carondelet Medical Group (CMG) is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to join their established cardiovascular team in Tucson, Arizona. This full-time, employed opportunity offers a collaborative environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, including a hybrid OR and robotic surgical platform. The position involves a clinic schedule of 1-2 days per week with approximately 12 patients per day, and a surgical schedule of 3-4 OR days per week with 5-7 surgeries weekly. Call coverage is shared and compensated. The role is supported by a dedicated team and centralized administrative resources, allowing the physician to focus on exceptional patient care. The position is affiliated with St. Mary's Hospital, a recipient of the 2024 AHA Stroke Gold Plus Award and a designated Cardiac Receiving Center.

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Eligible for Arizona medical licensure

Responsibilities

Conduct clinic visits with approximately 12 patients per day, 1-2 days per week.
Perform 5-7 surgeries weekly, with 3-4 OR days per week.
Participate in shared, compensated call coverage.
Provide exceptional patient care within a collaborative cardiovascular team.
