About The Position
This is a Locum-to-Perm Physician Assistant position specializing in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery in Portsmouth, Virginia. Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Active Virginia license
- Active DEA
- Required experience (Training/Experience)
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient care, including daily rounds on 5-10 adult Cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Cover night call Monday through Friday (3p-7a) and 24-hour weekend call (7a-7a)
- Support outpatient clinic duties (25% of role) as a Physician Assistant
- Assist in operating room for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
- Collaborate with attending surgeons and the multidisciplinary care team
