About The Position
We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide in-house call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery services. This locum tenens position requires the physician to perform rounding on cardiothoracic patients and conduct surgeries as needed during call shifts. The role also involves managing acute volume and blood pressure issues, and performing procedures such as central line insertion, arterial line insertion, PA catheter insertion, and IABP insertion.
Requirements
- Board Certified required
- Licensed in MO
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
- Hospital Privileges Required

- Plastic Surgery (Artesias (Esophageal, Intestinal, Biliary), Abdominal wall defects (Gastroschisis, Umbilical defects, Hernia, Omphalocele, Diaphragmatic hernia), Imperforate anus, PDA ligation)
- General CV/thoracic surgery (Open)
- Permanent pacemaker placement
- AICD (Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator)
- Left ventricular assist devices
Responsibilities
- Provide in-house call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery.
- Perform rounding on cardiothoracic patients.
- Perform surgeries as needed during call shifts.
- Manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.
- Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABP as required.
