About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Spokane, WA. The role involves providing inpatient coverage, including clinical duties one day per week and call responsibilities. The surgeon will manage a variety of cardiothoracic cases, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, and aneurysm repair. The position requires coverage of weekday nights and weekends, with a 30-minute call response time. Support staff, including RNs, MAs, and APPs, are available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.

Requirements

Board Certified (BC)
Washington State License or IMLC
General CV/thoracic surgery (Open, endoscopic)
Coronary artery bypass surgery (On pump, Off pump)
Valvular repair/replacement
Aneurysm repair (Cardiac, Aorto-thoracic)
TAVR, CABG
Vent Management
Eval. And management of acute vol/BP issues
C-Lines, A-Lines, PA Catheter, IABP

Responsibilities

Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage including clinic one day per week.
Perform procedures such as minimally invasive mitral, Impella55, aortic valve conservation, aortic root remodeling.
Cover weekday night call (2 nights per week) and weekend call (Friday 7am to Monday 7am).
Manage patient volume and acute volume/BP issues, insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, IABP.
Collaborate with support staff (RNs, MAs, PA/NPs) in an inpatient setting.
