This position is within the Sleep Center and works under the supervision of the Senior Administrative Director of Cardiopulmonary Services or designee, Manager or Supervisor. The role assists with the preparation, processing, and distribution of patient charts, reports, and billing. It involves scheduling patient tests, notifying appropriate personnel, and providing clerical support, including answering departmental phones and routing calls. The assistant will utilize hospital and department computer systems for various tasks such as processing forms, procedures, policies, schedules, and other word processing/typing projects. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned within the cardiopulmonary service line and accepting assignments in Neurodiagnostic, Respiratory PFT scheduling, and the Sleep Center. Additionally, the position requires performing technical and clinical work as outlined by the American Society Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Standards (ASET), including recording EEG (awake and asleep), evoked potentials, AABR, and EEG seizure monitoring, while demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate for patient age.
