About The Position

Bay Area Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established cardiovascular team in the Tampa Bay area. This full-time position combines outpatient cardiology with inpatient hospital responsibilities. The incoming APP may select a primary office location in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center and will collaborate with cardiologists and advanced practice providers across several cardiovascular specialties.

Requirements

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain one before starting
• Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Collaborative, patient-centered approach to care

Nice To Haves

• Cardiology, hospital medicine, or acute care experience strongly preferred
• Acute Care NP or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
• Participate in hospital rounding and inpatient cardiovascular consultations
• Order and review EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, stress tests, and other diagnostic testing
• Develop and manage treatment plans with the cardiology team
• Manage medications and coordinate specialty referrals
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and cardiovascular health
• Participate in the shared weekend coverage rotation
