About The Position

Our Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Hybrid General Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive APP team. This well-established group offers a strong culture, dedicated APP leadership, and a collaborative environment where you’ll have the opportunity to practice at the top of your license. By joining our team, you’ll provide comprehensive care to a diverse inpatient population while being supported by a top-rated health care system, fully implemented EMR, and nearby admitting hospitals. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, and Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• New Grads welcome to apply!
• Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications.
• Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
• Nationally recognized certification in field of specialization

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to a diverse inpatient population.
• Daily rounding, Cardiology consults, Discharges, Clinic Days
• 1–2 major holiday call shifts per year
• 3–5 weekend call shifts per year
• Continuing education opportunities

• System-wide CME opportunities
• Concurrent didactic cardiology curriculum designed to enhance your knowledge, clinical expertise, and competency in the evaluation and management of cardiovascular disease
