About The Position
Join TeamHealth's growing post-acute care team in the North Nashville, Tennessee, area. This is an excellent opportunity to provide quality, compassionate care as a cardiology advanced practice clinician for weekday rounding at our skilled nursing facility partners. You will be responsible for cardiology consults for adults in skilled nursing facilities Monday through Friday. No after-hours or weekend call associated with this position.
Requirements
- Current NP or PA Tennessee license and DEA
- 2 years-experience in cardiology
- Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook
Nice To Haves
- Additional cardiology training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Cardiac consulting and follow-up care to patients in skilled nursing facilities
- Analyze pathophysiology for cardiovascular disease processes
- Interpret stress and EKG tests
- Order and interpret lab results
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Manage patients with cardiac defibrillators and pacemakers
