Cardiology Electrophysiologist
About The Position
Intermountain Health is seeking an Electrophysiologist to join the Intermountain Health Electrophysiology (EP) program, primarily practicing at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. This role is part of an integrated system-wide EP team and provides outreach to rural hospitals. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with a 1 in 5 call schedule for EP calls, which may include holidays and weekends. The EP Physician will serve as a consultant for hospital-admitted patients, who are cared for by hospitalists. The role involves two procedure days and three outpatient clinic days per week, working alongside 4 other EP physicians and 4 dedicated EP APPs. Employment is with Intermountain Medical Group, with collaboration expected within the system-wide cardiology group and engagement with a large referral network. The facility is equipped with 2 EP labs featuring sophisticated mapping systems and ablation modalities.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Electrophysiology and/or related board certification
- Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
- U.S. ACGME Residency
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultant for hospital-admitted patients.
