About The Position

We are seeking a Board -Certified/Board -Eligible Cardiologist to provide comprehensive non -invasive cardiovascular care within a growing, outpatient -focused, multi -specialty healthcare organization. The Cardiologist will play a key role in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long -term management of cardiovascular disease while collaborating with primary care providers and allied healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient -centered care. This position offers the opportunity to practice evidence -based medicine in a technologically advanced ambulatory setting, utilizing state -of -the -art diagnostic capabilities and a team -based approach to improve cardiovascular outcomes across a diverse patient population.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
  • Active and unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision -making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to build meaningful physician -patient relationships based on trust and collaboration.
  • Commitment to preventive cardiology and population health management.
  • Strong organizational and time -management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast -paced, multi -location healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical cardiology experience preferred.
  • Experience practicing in an outpatient or ambulatory care environment preferred.
  • Board Certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, lipid disorders, and cardiomyopathies.
  • Perform and interpret non -invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies, including: Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Nuclear Cardiology Studies, Stress Testing (Exercise and Pharmacologic), Holter and Event Monitor Interpretation, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), Cardioversions.
  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessments and develop individualized treatment plans focused on prevention, early intervention, and disease management.
  • Provide pre -operative cardiac evaluations and risk stratification when appropriate.
  • Educate patients regarding lifestyle modification, risk -factor reduction, medication adherence, and long -term cardiovascular wellness.
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and higher levels of care when clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, care coordinators, and ancillary clinical staff to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Participate in chronic disease management initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce avoidable hospitalizations.
  • Support value -based care initiatives through proactive patient engagement, preventive screening, and evidence -based treatment strategies.
  • Contribute to care management programs focused on cardiovascular risk reduction and long -term health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Complete and finalize clinical documentation within established organizational timeframes.
  • Review and address diagnostic results, patient messages, medication refill requests, and clinical communications promptly.
  • Ensure all diagnostic and treatment orders are appropriately documented and linked to supporting clinical diagnoses.
  • Adhere to clinical practice guidelines, quality measures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs, peer review activities, and organizational initiatives designed to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Support performance metrics related to patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and practice productivity.
  • Maintain compliance with payer requirements, documentation standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, respect, professionalism, and patient -centered care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for advanced practice providers and clinical support staff.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with physicians and staff across multiple specialties.
  • Participate in provider meetings, educational activities, and ongoing professional development.
