About The Position
We are seeking a Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Pomona, NJ. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call coverage from July 1, 2026, ongoing. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with 24-hour call coverage and a weekend call ratio of 2:4. This position is to supplement existing coverage. The facility is a 400-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma designation and 23 ICU beds. The patient demographics are adult/geriatric, with an average daily volume of 20 patients, focusing on cardiac diagnostics and non-invasive cardiology. The EMR system used is Cerner, and specialty backup from other cardiologists is available.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- NJ License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Fellowship trained in Cardiology
Responsibilities
- Provide non-invasive cardiology services including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, EKGs, and treadmill stress tests.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and provide clinical recommendations.
- Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with a team of 24 cardiologists and support staff.
- Manage adult and geriatric patient populations with cardiac conditions.
