About The Position

The Cardiologist (non-invasive) is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cardiovascular diseases and related conditions. This role provides comprehensive cardiac care across outpatient and inpatient settings (Outpatient only in CMG), utilizing non-invasive diagnostic tools to assess and monitor heart health. The Cardiologist oversees the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensures adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines, and collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida
  • Current DEA registration and controlled substance certification, as applicable.
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
  • Interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies, including: Echocardiograms (Transthoracic and Transesophageal, as applicable), Stress testing (Exercise and Pharmacologic), Holter monitors and ambulatory cardiac monitoring, Electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), Nuclear cardiology studies (if credentialed), Cardiac CT and/or Cardiac MRI (if trained and credentialed).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Provide preventive cardiology services and cardiovascular risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic services as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and continuing medical education.
  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
