The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist 2 is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasounds, including those with contrast and agitated saline, as well as Stress echoes and Metabolic Stress echoes. This role involves coordinating patient flow, assisting with the education and training of new staff and physicians, participating in research initiatives, and monitoring procedure charging for accuracy. The technologist must verify patient identification, obtain necessary consents, and perform complex specialized tasks related to the operation of cardiac ultrasound equipment in accordance with IAC standards. They will integrate diagnostic results, patient history, and medical records to adapt exams as necessary, maintaining high-quality standards. Additionally, the role includes assisting with patient positioning, maintaining aseptic technique, performing basic nursing functions, and providing on-call coverage. The technologist will report unusual findings and adhere to hospital and regulatory guidelines.
