The Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist 2 performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist the physicians during cardiovascular procedures and surgeries. This role involves using imaging equipment, taking patient medical histories, ensuring equipment readiness, maintaining sterile techniques, and assisting Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiologists during diagnostic and invasive procedures, including catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmias and implantation of devices for cardiac rhythm management. The technologist will also set up, measure, and record advanced diagnostic cardiac rhythm values, troubleshoot equipment, perform advanced data manipulation for electrophysiology studies and ablations, and collaborate with medical staff on supply chain management for the EP suite. Adherence to University and unit-level policies and procedures, and safeguarding University assets are also key responsibilities. This list of duties is not exhaustive and may be expanded as needed.
