About The Position

Tower 7 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 24 bed Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit. Our staff are trained in providing specialized care to patient populations including Post Acute Cardiac Surgery, Post STEMI/NSTEMI, Minor Vascular Surgery, and Advanced Heart Failure patients with or without LVAD destination therapy. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse: AZ
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days of hire

Nice To Haves

• One year recent acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors, identifying and reporting any abnormalities or changes (e.g., arrhythmias, ischemia, heart block).
• Assess for signs and symptoms of cardiac compromise, fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and medication side effects.
• Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, temperature) and hemodynamic parameters.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, other nurses, and ancillary staff regarding patient status, changes, and concerns.
• Educate patients and families on their specific cardiac condition, disease process, and treatment plan.
