About The Position

As a Cardiac Telemetry Charge Nurse at CHI St. Vincent, you will oversee a department of frontline nurses providing patient care. Your acute care experience is highly valued. This role requires accountability, confidence, and excellent communication skills for both one-on-one interactions and group settings. You will be responsible for the performance of your team and unit, including holding difficult conversations when necessary, and advocating for your fellow nurses to help them reach their full potential in alignment with departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of Arkansas
  • 2 years of acute care experience is required
  • BLS through the American Heart Association is required
  • ACLS through the American Heart Association within 30 days

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Of Nursing
  • Admission to a BSN program within one year or obtaining a Bachelor degree within 2 years of assuming position, upon hire
  • Participation in the Nursing Career Advancement Program
  • 2 years recent Nursing experience in area of specialty
  • 1 year charge/management experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader and teammate
  • Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients
  • Maintain a high level of engagement with the floor, visibly connecting with nurses, patients, and families
  • Attend meetings with leadership to learn about new initiatives, areas for improvement, etc. and share that information with your team
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department
  • Mentor people on your team, sharing knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others
