About The Position
Cardiac Sonographer at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA. This is a full-time position with 40-hour weeks, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. A sign-on bonus is available.
Requirements
- Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
- Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification.
- Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Doppler exams with bubble study, contrast as well as limited studies for cardiac function, effusion assessment and thrombus assessment.
- Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.
