About The Position

Cardiac Sonographer at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA. This is a full-time position with 40 hour weeks, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. A sign-on bonus is available. The role is responsible for performing inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing, including 2D echo/Doppler exams with bubble study, contrast, and limited studies for cardiac function, effusion assessment, and thrombus assessment. The Cardiac Sonographer will provide complex technical care using ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and will be responsible for all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.

Requirements

Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification.
Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.

Nice To Haves

Two years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer preferred.

Responsibilities
